About Liu & Co.

Liu & Co. was founded by Darian Veliu in 2025.I was born on October 24, 1998 and I’m from Fairfield, NJ. I come from an extremely traditional Albanian family. I am proud to have a father who put me through a mans test early in my life and I thank him for that. I know firsthand how far trust, honesty and respect gets you and this is the industry that magnifies those three virtues.After graduating from West Essex Regional High School in North Caldwell, NJ, I played soccer as a Goalkeeper professionally briefly for Lokomotiva Zagreb (1st Division Croatian League) until I decided I wanted to come back home and pursue Law School. I graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in History. While still helping my father in construction, I turned towards another direction in to Sales where another three years of schooling plus a Bar Exam also didn’t excite me too much at that point. I was ready to get out there.This vision was imagined in 2023, nobody gave me a direction or a blueprint, I simply fell in to this just by pushing forward and finding new opportunities. I was first trading precious metals (bullion & numismatic coins) in Midtown Manhattan in my first sales job and soon after I became a right hand for Joseph Jacob Jewelers. I'd be shaking as I was walking around with tons of stones and gold in my pockets as a runner on 47th in NYC to managing one his stores full-time in Edison, NJ at 24 years old. I could be damn near if not, GIA-certified at this point. I currently work full-time in Contract Manufacturing in the Aerospace | Defense | Medical industries but custom jewelry work and especially 3D printing is my passion due to the endless knowledge I possess. The sky is the limit and it excites me. I’m looking to dive into other industries in the future.What struck me most working in the jewelry industry is how high of a markup everything was, even silver especially when I have the live precious metals market on the front screen of my phone from Kitco. I understand jewelry stores need to pay employees, rent etc. but the amount of times I would watch couples, families with low-income and even kids trying to get jewelry for their loved ones and could never afford it always would irritate me. Many times I would lower the prices which would never be approved just to ensure that somebody would be getting something they wanted.With Liu & Co. you are always educated on the value of your custom piece/s and we make it an absolute guarantee that the finest of materials are being used as well as the highest quality of work being done to ensure lifelong integrity of your product. We also exhibit a curated collection of chains even featuring the same exact 14k Yellow Gold Miami Cuban chain and Rope bracelet that I wear to this day.Skills: I am self-taught & proficient in Blender (CAD), Chitubox Pro, Lychee Slicer Pro, & UVTools. I am always learning new things and staying up to date on jewelry trends and precious metals markets everyday. I also have an entire library of 3D files and it’s updated daily.Interests: I love watching MMA and believe everyone should be training a martial art for their own protection. I’m always at the gym, running is the best and i love the sauna. Ive always loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles since I was a kid, obsessed with wine, nice watches, sports cars, traveling, museums, great food and I enjoy cooking as well. Kill Tony is also my favorite comedy show ever and have been a fan since 2022. I also have a grey-striped cat named Luna, she’s a nutjob.Pictured below is my father and I back in the heyday in the village of Dollogozhde, North Macedonia (indigenous Albanian land) in my grandparents house. Great times and many summers spent there. Happy to always have a home in good ol’ Dollo Town.
